Yesterday, met ernie at about 4pm after going to his house to be given a distasteful look by his aunt and be told by his mom that he was expecting me at pasir ris interchange. i left the place feeling as if i was on some warped amazing race. Upon reaching pasir ris interchange, i called eugene to realise that he was getting ernie's present. so i was like "SHIT I HAVEN'T GOT ANY." and bought him a stupid tomandjerry polar cake.
later when we met, i was told that i was the earliest. Zomg. we spent like what-- one and a half hours waiting for half of the pack to arrive? and later, waited all the way till about 6 before we set off to east coast park from pasir ris park. quite a bloody waste of time considering that i could have been studying an extra three hours at home. i mean it's okay if we're having fun and enjoying ourselves, but i didn't go there with the intention of waiting for what-- three hours?
Company was not too bad though-- at least for the earlier people. Ernie and eugene were my best pals since primary school, so no hiccups there, and the two guys kenneth and zhi hong were quite friendly too. Spent most of my time throughout the whole day with them.
While waiting they brought me to see ponies at the gallop stable or something. they looked very sad. Pretty but just sad.
cycling itself was pretty fun at first, like a good workout session. my bike had the lousiest suspension ever; so my the cake and bag (which i put in the basket) kept flying all over the place. Near bedok reservoir, i was trying to adjust my items in the basket when i lost control of the bike and hit a tree head on. first time ever, got away unscathed lest for a bruise, and dented the basket. three quarters of the way there, the leaders realised that we werent going to make it back, so we stopped. majority wanted to just fork out overnight charges and the late people refused to come over to talk, which pissed me off greatly. Plus it was eugene's ic that they were liable to, and he wanted to get it back. we couldn't move until they conceded.
the way back was extremely tiring but we just pushed on even faster so that we could make it back on time, before the stall closed. on the way back, one of the girls met into an accident, so eugene, kenneth and i went ahead first. we met the cursing uncle of the stall on our way back, so we were able to return our bikes but we had to pay the overnight charges.
At macs, we got to know each other a little better. Apparently, Denise (the girl who's in mechatronics; same course as ernie) was from koh chuan too and knows deb :) and it ended off not too bad, except that my legs were tingling from cycling too hard.
Birthday boy :)
what's left of the cake.
Eugene and ernie.
Kenneth and Eugene.
Denise.
Jonathan and.. er.
we made him eat the cake in the end, topped off with a string of lettuce. Yum.
met jingboy later at night, for a quick talk.
then i had the worst night ever. both my legs were cramping so bad at about 3 am that i couldnt sleep, i tried ignoring them and was able to nap for a while but the excruciating pain returned at about 5. i dont know, it felt so bad and i completely lost my senses; didn't know what to do. mom was awake by then but she was being a total bitch about me coming back late and making excuses not to go to school "as usual".
i called the boy and he offered some much needed comfort and after a long while, i remembered that you had to stretch your legs so i leaned both legs against the wall and managed to bring down the pain to a bearable amount, before sleeping and waking up, late for school.
